UNUM Association
The UNUM association was founded in 2020 by a committed woman deeply dedicated to respecting all living beings. A former farmer, goat breeder, and cheesemaker, upon ceasing her activity, she chose to offer her animals a peaceful retirement rather than letting them face an uncertain end.
Very quickly, UNUM expanded its scope of action by helping other animals in distress. To cover the care, maintenance, and rescue of the animals it took in, the association implemented respectful and responsible solutions, including eco-grazing for individuals, communities, and businesses.
All funds raised now finance the rescue, care, and monitoring of numerous animals.
🐾 A strong commitment to cats
A crucial part of UNUM's work is dedicated to stray and abandoned cats, often invisible and without a sustainable solution.
UNUM organizes and coordinates sterilization campaigns in partnership with town halls, businesses, and local stakeholders. Cats are identified, treated, and then released on site when possible, with follow-up, appropriate food, and secure shelters.
The most fragile cats, mothers, and their kittens are taken in by the association, nursed back to health, and then offered for adoption. UNUM also supports individuals, feeders, and foster families by organizing food and material drives at specialized stores.
Finally, the association assists elderly or isolated individuals to ensure the veterinary follow-up of their pets and to look after their future.
💚 Why La Chatterie chose to support the UNUM association
At the heart of Cat Art Design is first and foremost a professional cattery, committed for many years to the welfare of cats and a responsible approach to breeding.
Too often, professional purebred cat breeders are perceived as responsible for animal suffering. On the ground, the reality is quite different.
At the same time, the UNUM association frequently encounters people who want to adopt a purebred cat but hesitate to do so for fear of judgment from others.
This partnership was born from a common desire: to show that animal protection and responsible breeding are perfectly compatible. One does not exclude the other.
Cat Art Design is the accessories brand developed by La Chatterie, conceived as a natural continuation of this commitment: products tested, validated, and used by the cattery's cats before being offered for sale.
Supporting the UNUM association means advocating a global and coherent vision of animal welfare, where every cat counts, regardless of its story.
